just–ask

A new promotional film has been launched as part of a joint project to raise public awareness of Devon's many local community transport schemes, by Devon County Council and local vehicle specialists GM Coachworks Ltd.
The DVD premiered at The Picture House cinema in Exeter on Wednesday 17 February at 12 noon.
Research suggests that although Devon is well served by over 80 local community transport schemes, there is a low level of public awareness of them. The Council and other partners therefore want to publicise the schemes to encourage more people to use them.
‘Transport For Your Community - Just Ask', is a five minute DVD produced by Bray Leino design agency. It stars users of Devon's extensive community transport network. The film is part of a marketing toolkit, which also includes leaflets and display information and a website supported by Devon County Council.
TV journalist and newsreader Angela Rippon OBE provided the voice over for the promotional DVD. Angela is currently patron of Tavistock Area Support Services, which operates community transport services in West Devon.
Councillor Stuart Hughes, Cabinet Member for Highways and Transportation, said: "The‘Transport For Your Community' brand brings together the many individual Community Transport Schemes under one collective identity whilst retaining their valued independence and local individuality.
"It is hoped that the new united identity will help raise awareness of the services provided by the various organisations and attract new users, as well as recruit volunteers and encourage vital funding."
Community transport schemes across Devon are run by local charities and not for profit groups. Individual Community Transport schemes around Devon can join the network and use these new tools to promote their services to those who really need them.
