 PRESS RELEASE

GM COACHWORK LAUNCH THE NEW "DUO" AT NAIDEX SOUTH

19 October 2011, London - Award winning convertors GM Coachwork unveiled their new compact drive from wheelchair vehicle at the Naidex South show at London's Excel.

Based on the Peugeot Partner / Citroen Berlingo the compact DUO gives wheelchair users the choice to be the driver or an up-front passenger.  The DUO features a virtually flat floor making it easy to swap places as the passenger and driver's seats are interchangeable.  The DUO also features a remote operated rear tailgate and ramp and an optional rear fold-out two seater bench.

Nigel Collins, GM Coachwork's Managing Director said " The Duo gives customers a new exciting alternative in the compact drive-from wheelchair market. We've already enjoyed success with Berlingo Blaze and taking this one step further brought us to develop the Duo. The dimensions of the Duo lead to a very spacious interior and a floor which is virtually flat."

The Duo is available as a Citroen Berlingo or Peugeot Partner and comes with a 6 speed semi-automatic EGS6 gearbox with a dash mounted dial and electronic handbrake. Turn the gear selector dial, flick the switch to release the handbrake and your journey begins.

The DUO is powered by a  1.6 e-Hdi  92bhp engine which produces 58.9mpg in the extra urban cycle. Both Peugeot and Citroen offer a stylish exterior boasting strong, clean lines, exceptional passenger space, and a state of the art diesel engine giving outstanding economy.

The DUO is available in three trim levels - S, VTR and XTR with Advance Payment prices on Motability to be announced shortly.
