Competitors and entrants turned out in force for the UK Wheelchair Challenge 2011 at Westpoint, Exeter on 9 June.

The rain couldn't dampen the spirits of the entrants and after a few hours the rain turned to sun. Heart FM presenter Emma Scott compered the day and joined in by having a go around the course. Exeter's Lady Mayoress and her husband got proceedings under way and it wasn't long before the 1km circuit was busy wiht wheelchair users giving it their all.

The prize presentations for the fastest times were given out by Toby Anstis who revelled in the challenge of tackling the circuit, admitting it was tough going.
