GM Coachwork are very proud to have achieved our ISO accreditations and to also be recognised by some of the leading manufacturers, their seal of approval reflecting the quality of our conversions. We work hard to retain these accreditations and feel privileged to be associated with these marques.
ISO 9001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organisations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
GM have been Ford QVM accredited since 2017. The Ford QVM program was introduced to accredit converters who modify Ford vans and chassis. This accreditation ensures the highest standard of work. Each of Qualified Vehicle Modifiers is individually and regularly assessed by Ford to ensure highest standards in manufacture, engineering and quality control.
ISO 14001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS). It provides a framework that an organisation can follow, rather than establishing environmental performance requirements.
GM is part of IVECO’s prestigious BUSMASTER advocate programme. The BUSMASTER seal of approval is only awarded to trusted and reliable bodywork providers after a stringent auditing process – ensuring only the very finest bodybuilders achieve certification. BUSMASTER is designed as a reward for providing high-quality products to IVECO BUS customers.
GM were given Peugeot Accredited status in 2015 and to this day are one of only two converters to have designed, engineered a minibus to be a Peugeot Validated Conversion. Minibus Lite was the first lightweight minibus which could be driven on a car licence to have achieved certification from Peugeot.
GM Coachwork has been a Vauxhall Approved Convertor, one of only 10 in the UK, since 2015. Our 17 seater Vauxhall Movano minibus is a European Type Approved vehicle available through the nationwide Vauxhall network. The vehicle was tested to ensure it met the technical standards required by General Motors UK Limited and it is the only minibus conversion available from Vauxhall.
Our Renault Master minibuses are part of Renault’s Accredited Conversion range that has been developed to complement their ‘Off the Shelf’ Conversions. The range was developed in partnership exclusively with GM who received Renault approval after being assessed on our technical and quality standards by a dedicated team from Renault. GM has been Renault accredited since 2014.
GM are an approved VW convertor for VW Caddy, VW Transporter and VW Crafter. GM are proud to have been selected as one of the country’s most professional and qualified convertors to be part of the VW ‘Recognised Conversions’ programme. We were subject to stringent checks to ensure our attention to detail and the quality of our conversions matched the clearly defined standards set by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
