GM are proud of our achievements and awards. Over the years our efforts and innovation has been recognised by a number of awards over the years.
GM Coachwork was recognised as one of the leading businesses in the South West with its appearance in the Fast Growth 75 list compiled by KPMG. The list is compiled based on the average sales growth across the last four years of publicly reported results.
In 2018 GM was again recognised as one of the leading businesses in the South West. The annual guide is a snapshot of the regional economy- it shows who is leading the way and the sectors that are reaping the rewards for all the investment they have put into innovation, identifying new markets, people and infrastructure to build their businesses.
This year marked not only the launch of the Ventura campervan brand but also being awarded the accolade of Best Budget Motorhome by Practical Motorhome magazine.
GM Coachwork received the Specialist Convertor of the Year award from Lex Autolease at their Supplier Focus Day. In determining an overall winner from the nominees, factors taken into account by Lex included: consistently meeting SLA’s, understanding processes, maintaining strong relationships, and talking to customers with one voice.
GM Coachwork were delighted to have been shortlisted for the Western Morning News Family Business of The Year. The awards recognise business success in the South West and it was testament to everyone at GM for the joint effort in making the business such a success to have merited inclusion in the list of finalists.
Insider’s Made in the South West awards the region’s top manufacturers prepare to celebrate another successful year and GM were thrilled to be considered one of them in the Manufacturer of Year Award (over 25m) along with Airbus, Thatcher’s Cider and TDK Lambda.
Considered to be the highest accolades in the campervan industry, Ventura picked up a highly coveted CAMC award for Best Campervan under £47,000 giving our Ventura VR200 model its second award in two years.
Following the design of our first WAV in 1993 in 2009 we were awarded Motability Supplier of the Year recognising our dedication to Motability scheme customers.
Following our win in 2009 we were delighted to be commended WAV Convertor of the Year recognising our design innovation for wheelchair accessible vehicles supplied to customers on the Motability scheme.
Following many years as an VW accredited converter we are delighted to announce that we are now an official Integrated Partner of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
Our complete production process underwent thorough examination to ensure that they adhere to VW’s quality control standards. This certification recognises that our teams have demonstrated outstanding technical knowledge and experience in the conversion of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
We have been working closely with Volkswagen for many years creating a varied product range across both our minibus and wheelchair accessible vehicle departments. We look forward to working closely with them in the future in our ongoing partnership.
